Power Flushing Huntingdon Flushing
Your System Modern boilers need a clean water system to maintain efficient operation, which is why power flushing is needed.
1. With cold and hot on with the system hot I will drain all water. The condition of all thermostatic radiator valves will be accessed and new ones fitted if required.
2. The system will then be filled with a cleaning agent and flushed. Each radiator will be filled and air released. The flushing unit will be switched on and circulated for up to 3 hours. All joints will have to be checked if there is an expansion tank
in the loft this tank will have to be removed and cleaned also.
3. Cleaning agent will be drained and filled with cleaned water plus an inhibitor. I will do this for all boiler installations. This service is necessary for all new boiler installations.
Control
of Boiler Boilers will need a control system to maintain efficient operations. A room stat will be fitted at a convenient position which is usually a wireless operation. If there is a hot water tank the hot water operation will be controlled by a tank stat. These
will be operated by motorised valves and programmers can be fitted to room stat or a separate programmer for both.
Combi
Boilers Hot water is on-demand with these boilers and central heating operation will be by room stat which is usually programmable. Hot water temperature is controlled on the boiler. Within all combi boilers there is a separate heat exchanger and diverting valve
which diverts hot circulating water to heating or hot water taps, in this case the hot water tap would take priority.
Conventional Boilers
These systems can be pressurised or opened vented, depending on requirements. All differences can be discussed before installation and the benefits of each explained.
My Power Flushing Experience: I have worked in the mechanical electrical trade for more than 30 years starting with 22 years in the Royal Navel working on ships boiler brands Babcock and Wilcock, Admiral three drum and auxiliary boilers. I then became an engineer in the industry working with industrial robots and heavy plant machinery in the factories.
I am a qualified marine engineer and have gained my gas safe registration in 2006. My electrical qualification in the 17th edition etc was gained with benchmark registration. I have a City and Guild accredited service in control engineering system. These were gained while serving in the Royal Navy. I also spent 2 years in the middle east after leaving the Royal Navy and I have been working in the heating business ever since as I have a strong passion for the industry.
